James was dismissed from the Royal Navy and lost a high profile job as a managing director for being gay. He now champions LGBTQ rights and supports people to be comfortable in their own bodies and to express themselves.
What does your identity mean to you?
I am comfortable with my sexual orientation as a gay man and as managing director of one of London’s most iconic, award-winning cabaret, performance and club night venues, try to provide the most diverse programme for the LGBTQ community for marginalised groups to meet and feel safe with their gender identity and gender expression.
