The IDENTITY Project

The John Lewis Partnership Edition

IDENTITY is a project by award-winning British photographer Chris Jepson, exploring what it means to identify as a member of the LGBTQIA+ community today.

The Identity Project – JLP Edition is a unique photography initiative that seeks to celebrate the diversity within the John Lewis Partnership (JLP) by capturing the portraits and stories of its LGBTQIA+ Partners. The project aims to spotlight the rich tapestry of identities within the organisation, emphasising the diverse, inclusive and supportive environment fostered by the Partnership.

Chris Jepson brings over 20+ years of experience in visually capturing and narrating the stories within the LGBTQIA+ community, and this collaboration underscores the commitment of JLP to diversity, inclusivity, and corporate support for its LGBTQIA+ Partners.

The photoshoots have now taken place and the exhibition’s opening night to showcase a powerful exploration of what it means to identify as a member of the LGBTQIA+ community today is all set for Friday 09 February at John Lewis’ flagship store on Oxford Street.

While Chris Jepson’s powerful images have been expertly captured beforehand, this special evening is a chance for you to witness the beauty and diversity of our LGBTQIA+ Partners as part of the exclusive JLP Edition and a celebration of LGBTQIA+ History Month.

Be part of this historic night, where the pre-captured images will come to life, reflecting the essence and strength of our LGBTQIA+ community. Your presence is not just welcomed; it’s essential in making this opening night a vibrant celebration of inclusivity.

RSVP here before Weds 07 Feb to secure your place at this remarkable event!

Let’s make history together and celebrate the rich tapestry of our community.
