The IDENTITY Project

Priest, Brighton, UK

Richard Tuset

A priest in the Church of England, Richard is currently Rector of St Wulfran’s Church in Ovingdean, a part time role, and Head of Corporate Policy for two local councils.

With his partner of 25 years Phil, and their 3 children, they have found Brighton & Hove a safe and happy place where they feel generally accepted, supported and even celebrated…a far cry from experiences in other places.

What does your identity mean to you?

As a priest my Christian identity is central, as a priest and Gay Dad my sexuality remains front and central as I manage everyday homophobia.
