Ted Houghton
With a Masters from the Royal College of Art in constructed textiles and a specialism in knitting and knitwear design, 72 year old Ted has taught at Middlesex University for 30 years, most recently on the BA degree course in Fashion Textiles. He has a love of gardening, flowers, good company, a drink and dancing for mental health.
What does your identity mean to you?
It is a huge part of my identity. Within my teaching it allows students to approach me about issues related to their identity and has helped trans students in the past.
