Luca Gatti
Born in Italy, Luca moved to London and then Brighton in his early 20s, and art has always been a huge part of his life.
He studied and worked in fashion then experimented with photography, modelling, make-up, performing arts, and more recently painting.
In recent years his Fibromyalgia and Ehlers Danlos Syndrome have taken him on a journey through grief, rebirth and a new beginning, and now he helps others who have experienced trauma and health issues to find a new life beyond the pain.
What does your identity mean to you?
My identity is a journey, it changes constantly. Every day I discover a new side of myself, new strength, new interests or purpose.
The way I used to identify myself is just part of the foundation on which my new identity is built on every day. It’s a series of consecutive stages that all together build my identity in a specific moment in time.
So, to me, my identity is a journey through discovery and connection, an everlasting evolution, a quest for constant improvement and self-expression.
