Billie Gold
Billie is a performer on the Brighton cabaret scene dubbed “the space lesbian” but is also a passionate writer and painter. Being a woman In the cabaret industry she has seen wonderful new doors open for female, trans and non binary people alike.
What does your identity mean to you?
It means that any assumptions or prerequisites of my life before I came out have gone. I allow myself to dress how I want, love who I want, and say what I want. People find empowerment in different ways, for me personally the notion that it changes is enough.
