The IDENTITY Project

Dave, London, UK

Dave

Dave has always lived in London, growing up in the West and now growing fabulously old in the East. He believes in the power of open conversation and thinks exploring people’s differences can help them embrace their individuality.

Dave is a step-father and a grandfather, despite never expecting to have children, he’s thrilled to be happily married with a family and feels comfortable in his identity as a gay bear.

What does your identity mean to you?

I’m lucky to be living the life I am. I believe that we all need to enjoy life. It is important to share your identity, share your life experiences. I listen and show respect to others which I expect in return when sharing my life, as a proud gay man. I do wish to get past labels, I want people to see me and for them to feel seen.
